Increase Your Competence in Digital Marketing with Adobe Analytics

Adobe Analytics September update brings in some exciting digital analytics features. We hope to utilize them to deliver you a better digital marketing experience. Let’s have a look at the new features implemented this month.

Cross-Device Analytics Let’s You Unify Your Customer’s Data

Cross-Device Analytics is an advanced digital analytics feature that allows a unified analysis of customer behavior over different devices, browsers, and apps. It helps to deal with the alterations in customer behavior over different devices.

Cross-Device Analytics Enhancements

New digital analytics features were added in the cross-device analytics along with some enhancements to broaden its capabilities.

  • Now private graphs and cross-device analytics are available for customers in EMEA and APAC.
  • Adobe Analytics customers can now stitch based on a user ID stored in an Analytics field instead of using a device graph.
  • China data collection Phase 2 is complete. Adobe Analytics has extended support for the first-party SSL now.

Workspace Enhancements

Analysis Workspace also got some enhancements in the September release.

  • Adobe has added 5 new date ranges. Now you can choose the full day digital analytics data from the last 7,14,30,60, and 90 days.
  • Now 50k items can be downloaded for a single dimension in a freeform table. This enables you to access more than 400 rows of digital analytics data now.
  • You can now show or hide x-axis and y-axis of a Line visualization. The minimum and maximum value and regression trend lines can be labeled on any Line visualization too.

Create Complete Customer Profiles with Customer Journey Analytics

Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) is a great digital marketing tool for getting insights into the choices and preferences of a customer. Adobe made some changes to the CJA features to improve the workflow inside the Adobe Analytics environment.

CJA will no longer provide admin privileges to all Adobe Analytics users. Only users designated as product admins in the adobe admin console will be able to make the following changes.

  • Create/update/delete Connections or Data Views.
  • Update/delete projects, filters, or calc metrics that were created by other users.
  • Share a Workspace project to all users.

Anomaly detection is now available for Customer Journey Analytics. So, you can easily detect the statistical fluctuations in your digital analytics data that matters to you.

The Workspace features implemented in Adobe Analytics were also made available in CJA. Five new date ranges are added and the Line visualization interface is improved now.

Media Concurrent Viewer Panel in Media Analytics Workspace

With the media Concurrent viewer panel, you can easily understand where peak concurrency or where drop-offs occurred. So, you can get better insights into the quality of content and viewer engagement, and troubleshoot for volume/scale.

Important notices for Analytics administrators

Adobe Analytics migrated its frontend architecture from omniture.com to the adobe.com domain. This should solve the third-party cookie issues for its users.

Ad Hoc Analysis is not compatible with Java 8 versions released after v1.8.0_261. So, Adobe Analytics administrators are recommended to maintain a Java 8 version before 1.8.0_261 before the EOL of the product is reached.
